Entertaining The Kids During the Summer Holidays
Keeping children entertained throughout the summer holidays can be difficult. Here at Zoflora we have come up with some ideas to keep the little ones entertained, without spending a fortune.
Going out and about
There may be lots going on in your local area during the school holidays for the whole family to enjoy and many are often at little or no cost. Check the websites of your local council, tourist information centre, local papers and community centre to find out about events. Find attractions such as theme parks and wildlife parks on websites such as daysoutwithkids.co.uk.
Staying at home
Being at home doesn’t have to result in bored kids. Why not arrange a movie day, bake some cakes or get the board games and puzzles out, especially if the weather is less than summery!
Explore the great outdoors
Sunny days are great for activities such as picnics and outdoor games, whether in your own garden or local park. Go for a long walk and play games along the way to keep the kids entertained, such as a treasure hunt or ‘I Spy’.
Have an arts and craft day, make birthday cards for family members, use beads to make jewellery or buy some canvas and paints to create paintings that can be hung around the home.
