The Mummy Diary at Britmums Live
Last month saw the return of BritMums Live, the UK’s biggest two-day blogging event. I had heard great things about it for a few years now and so was looking forward to attending, especially with Zoflora as my sponsors.
The event started on Friday lunchtime with a welcome speech from Jennifer and Suzanne, the founders of BritMums, followed by the first keynote speech from Ella Woodward of Delciouslyella. Her journey was really interesting to listen to, and it just proves anything is possible.
Following on from Ella, was the very inspiring Victoria Wright. She made me laugh and brought a tear to my eye, with her wonderful insight into growing up with a facial disfigurement, her journey into adult life and having a daughter.
After the keynotes came the icebreaker, which was also a record breaker! Myself, along with the rest of the BritMums Live attendees managed to wrap 51 mummies in three minutes, breaking the record by 1! It was great to be a part of something so fun, and something that will hopefully be in the Guinness Book of Records.
Later that afternoon I got to go to a really great session by another fellow blogger. Lucy, of Capture by Lucy is someone who I have admired for a while and so to get to meet her and learn from her, was just fabulous.
The very lovely Carol Smillie, having setup a new business, Diary Doll, kicked off Day two. She was there to tell us about her business, as well as the bumps along the way. Afterwards I went to the break out session with her, it was a really great chance to chat with her and other bloggers about Diary Doll.
Afterwards, I got to pop and have a chat with Carol and made a video in the Diary Doll video booth.
I had a brilliant time chatting with fellow bloggers about their blogs and my sponsor Zoflora, so many people had heard of them and gave me some handy hints and tips on how they used Zoflora in their home.
Over the course of the event, I got to meet up with old friends as well as making some new ones. I learnt how to enhance my blog, how to make my blogging life easier along with lots of tips on SEO, design and much more.
I really hope to go back next year, it was such an amazing and inspiring event full of amazing people and brands, and thanks again Zoflora for being my sponsors.
