Zoflora Sponsoring Animal Hero Awards 2015 Earlier this year the RSPCA, Bayer Pharmaceuticals and the Daily Mirror launched a nationwide search to find the country’s bravest animals, individuals and teams who have shown outstanding commitment to improving the lives of animals.

The 2015 Animal Hero Awards will be hosted once again by animal lover and television presenter, Amanda Holden, at the glittering ceremony which will take place on the 21st October.

As pet lovers, Zoflora are proud to be sponsoring the category of ‘Rescue Animal of the Year’. Last year’s winner of this category was Joey, a capuchin monkey that had been left disabled after 9 years of abuse. Brave Joey has gone on to make a full recovery from his horrific treatment, and now helps other abused monkeys in the sanctuary where they live, to recover.

Amongst the other winners at last year’s awards was Queen guitarist and animal rights activist Brian May, who won the award for ‘Celebrity Animal Fan of the Year’. Brian is a staunch supporter of several animal charities including RSPCA, the International Fund for Animal Welfare and PETA UK.

All of us at Zoflora are very much looking forward to the awards and hearing the heart-warming and inspiring stories. Good luck to all the nominees, we can’t wait to see who wins.

As nominations are now closed, it is too late to nominate your animal heroes, however, if you know an animal that has gone above and beyond for their owner, have a pet that has overcome traumatic circumstances to bring happiness to you or others or you know someone who has shown dedication and kindness to an animal, we’d love to hear about it.
