How to be an awesome Dad this Mother's Day
Don’t panic, but Mother’s Day is just around the corner (March 26th) and it’s not just your own mother you need to remember – it’s your partner too. That’s right, it’s your responsibility to round up the kids, hatch a plan and spoil your better half this year.
Here are some easy ideas to get you started and win you some serious brownie points just in time for Father’s Day!
Intercept her alarm
Sneakily turn off her alarm the night before and let her have a lie in. Take the kids out for the morning and leave mum to enjoy her coffee in peace.
Book a surprise treat
Send her off for a manicure or a massage in the afternoon, while you and the kids whip up some delicious Mother’s Day treats. Nothing says ‘I love you, mum’ like a messy cupcake covered in rainbow sprinkles.
Run a bath
Don’t forget her favourite candles, a (large) glass of wine and a good book. Distract the kids with a film, so she can enjoy a relaxing bubble bath while you prepare dinner.
Craft a culinary masterpiece
What better way to wrap up a perfect Mother’s Day than with a family dinner? Spend some quality time together and then offer to do the washing up so she can catch up on some TV with the kids.
