Zoflora can be used throughout the family home. Please read through the FAQ's below to ensure you follow the correct procedure when using it around pets. Using Zoflora around the home ensures nasty pet odours and mess can be neturalised and replaced with your favourite fragrance.

Can you use Zoflora on dog beds to get rid of the 'doggy smell'?

Yes, place the dog bed cushion into a washing machine and add 2 capfuls of Zoflora to the rinse cycle to eliminate odours and add fragrant freshness.

Can you use Zoflora on carpets/rugs to get rid of the odour of dog urine?

Yes, check for colour fastness first on an inconspicuous area before use. Then wipe the area with diluted Zoflora (we have 15 fragrances to choose from!) and a damp cloth. Zoflora will neutralise the urine odour whilst adding a fresh fragrant scent that will last for 24hours.

Is it important to disinfectant my pet toys, and how often should I do this?

Pet toys can carry millions of bacteria, which can be transferred to our hands if picked up, potentially causing infections. Disinfect plastic or rubber pet toys once a week, to protect your pets and family. Rinse thoroughly with clean water after disinfection and allow to dry thoroughly before returning to your pet.

Can Zoflora be used around puppies?

Response from the Veterinary Poisons Information Service: As long as directions for use are followed and treated areas dried completely before your puppy has access to it. Zoflora is safe and effective to use.

Can Zoflora be used around kittens?

Does Zoflora contain phenol, which would mean it is unsafe to use around pets?

While Zoflora does go cloudy in water, this is down to the fragrance oils being insoluble in water and is not due to the product containing phenol. As a result, Zoflora disinfectant is safe to use around most pets when used correctly.

Does Zoflora get rid of cat urine odour?

I would like to keep my pet carrier fresh and clean in my car and avoid pet smells in the car. Can I use Zoflora to keep it fresh?

Zoflora is a great product for disinfecting pet carriers, not only will it remove 99.9% of bacteria it will ensure all pet odours are neutralised, great if you are storing the carrier in small spaces or using it in the car.

Is Zoflora suitable to clean bird cages?

Yes. Soak a cloth in Zoflora diluted with water and wipe your cage down. Remember to allow the cage to dry before returning your pet.

Yes, when disinfecting bird toys, soak in a diluted bucket of Zoflora and water. Always finish by rinsing in cold water and drying thoroughly.

Is it safe to use Zoflora to disinfectant and wash out a small furry's cage?

When correctly diluted, Zoflora disinfectant may be used where most pets are kept. Do not allow pets to lick or walk on wet treated surfaces. Keep off until dry.

Can I use Zoflora to safely clean my small furry's feeding bowl and bottle?

No, we wouldn't recommend this as perfumed products such as Zoflora can cause tainting.

If I clean the area in my horse box where the hay is hung, will it be safe for my horse to eat there?

Yes, as long as you ensure the surface/ area is dry before hanging the hay
